Hilary Sares has been a Kensington editor for nine years, acquiring contemporaries
and historicals for Zebra and Brava, and erotic romance
for the new Aphrodisia line. The daughter of a magazine
and mystery writer, and the granddaughter of an AP reporter, Hilary
grew up in Manhattan and now lives across the river in
that state everyone makes fun of. Two daughters, one

Pezzack Swinwood, Editor
Susan Pezzack
Swinwood is a born-and-bred Torontonian who grew up mere minutes
from the Harlequin offices where she works as Editor for MIRA Books
and Spice Books. She earned her Honours B.A. from the University of
Toronto, and a degree in Publishing from Ryerson University with a
focus on editing. Susan joined Harlequin’s Marketing
department in 1999, and soon moved to Editorial where she spent
three years working on the series side of the business. Susan
switched to the MIRA single title team in 2002, and now works with a
number of contemporary fiction and women’s fiction authors. In
addition to her MIRA authors, Susan is also the acquiring editor for
Spice, Harlequin’s erotic fiction single title imprint. |

Adam lives in
London and has a BA (Hons) in English Literature and a Masters
degree in Creative Writing from the University of St Andrews. He
began writing professionally for magazines and newspapers in 1995,
before switching exclusively to fiction. He is the author of nine
erotic novels under the name Lindsay Gordon, published by the Nexus
imprint at Virgin Books, and of the occult thriller Banquet for the
Damned under his own name. His short supernatural fiction will be
featured in the 2005 Best Fantasy and Horror anthologies in both the
UK and US. He began editing Nexus in January 2005 and became Erotica
Editor of all fiction imprints and erotic memoirs for Virgin Books
in June 2005. He currently commissions and edits around seventy
books a year with his assistant editor Donna Condon. |

May Chen is an editor with Morrow/Avon, an imprint of
HarperCollins Publishers. She works primarily in women’s
fiction. In addition to enjoying well-written, lush historical

magazine. A Lady’s

of Heiresses anthology (Pocket Books, January 2007), which
made the USA Today
bestseller list. Her next novel, Madame’s
